Gem Rose Windows

Tilda Brown Swanson was in the studio during the pandemic creating her new Gem Window series.

Drawing on the tradition and structure of gothic rose windows, she mixed flat and powdered glass into dramatic glass statements of beauty for our post-COVID lives.

  • Her initial solo show for the Gem Window series was at the Clear Lake Art Center, Iowa. For more information, see their website.
  • Part of the Gem Windows series was also exhibited at the Jester Park Nature Center from May through December 2022.
  • Initially shown in PerspectivesBrown Swanson was one of two artists exhibiting at Jester Park Nature Center, May 6 – August 28, 2022. She exhibited Gem Windows and selected works from the Garden and Sunset series, Jester Park, Granger, IA.
  • A separate set of Gem Windows and other work was exhibited as a solo show September – December, 2022.
